Tire Storage Service

We store your off-season tires in our secure indoor facility. Tires are cleaned, inspected for damage or wear, labeled by position (front-left, etc.), and stored in optimal conditions away from direct sunlight, moisture, and temperature extremes.

When you schedule changeover, we retrieve your tires, re-inspect them, check pressures, and install them on your vehicle. Any damage or wear concerns are communicated before installation.

Storage Terms

Storage fees are €80 per tire set per season (approximately 6 months). Payment is due at time of tire installation/changeover. Storage period is typically November-April for winter tires, May-October for summer tires.

Tires must meet minimum safety standards: adequate tread depth (3mm minimum, 4mm recommended), no sidewall damage, no bulges or separation. We may refuse storage of unsafe tires.

Liability and Insurance

We maintain insurance covering tire storage losses due to fire, theft, or facility damage up to €2,000 per tire set. This coverage has limitations:

- Maximum coverage of €500 per tire or €2,000 per set

- Excludes damage from tire defects, age, or pre-existing conditions

- Requires proof of tire value (original purchase receipt)

You may choose to maintain your own insurance coverage for high-value tire sets. We provide facility documentation for your insurance if needed.

Abandoned Tires

Tires not retrieved within 60 days after end of storage season are considered abandoned. We attempt to contact you at phone and email on file. After 30 days additional notice, abandoned tires may be disposed of or recycled to recover storage fees.

It is your responsibility to keep contact information current and schedule tire changeover appointments.

Vehicle Storage

We do not currently offer long-term vehicle storage services. We can recommend local vehicle storage facilities for customers who need secure long-term vehicle storage.

For short-term storage (vehicles waiting for parts or repairs), we provide complimentary secure storage for up to 14 days during active service.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How much does tire storage cost?
€80 per tire set per storage season (approximately 6 months). Price includes cleaning, inspection, and retrieval when needed. Payment due at tire installation appointment.
2. Do I need to book storage in advance?
Yes, storage space is limited. Contact us before changeover season to reserve storage space, especially during peak November and April periods when demand is highest.
3. Can you store tires I didn't buy from you?
Yes, we store tires regardless of where purchased, provided you use our tire changeover service. Tires must meet minimum safety standards (adequate tread depth, no damage).
4. What if my tires are damaged in storage?
Damage from facility issues (fire, flooding, theft) is covered by our insurance up to policy limits. Damage from tire defects or age is not covered. We inspect tires before and after storage to document condition.
5. Can I access my stored tires?
Tires are stored in bulk racking systems - individual access is difficult. If you need your tires before scheduled changeover, call to arrange pickup. A €25 retrieval fee applies for off-season retrieval.
6. What happens if I sell my car?
Notify us and arrange tire pickup or transfer to new owner. If new owner is our customer, we can transfer storage service. Otherwise, arrange pickup within [XX days].
7. Do you offer tire hotels with rims?
Yes - we store tire/rim assemblies. Same pricing and terms as unmounted tires. Tire/rim assemblies require more space - early booking recommended.
8. What if I don't return for my tires?
After 60 days past typical changeover season, we contact you. If no response after additional 30 days notice, tires are considered abandoned and may be disposed/recycled to recover storage costs.
9. How do you prevent mixing up customers' tires?
Each tire set is labeled with customer name and stored in designated area. We track storage locations in our system. When retrieving, we verify customer name against storage labels.
10. Can you dispose of my old tires?
Yes - when installing new tires, we recycle old tires according to EU regulations. Tire disposal fees may apply. We do not store tires that are worn beyond safe use.
